Congratulations: FOHTA Board Members’ Achievements

Dr. Alvin Schexnider has authored a new release. Saving Black Colleges: Leading Change in a Complex Organization (Philanthropy and Education) gives an account of “challenges, opportunities and prospects for change for historically black colleges and universities.”

Louisa Strayhorn received the prestigious L.D.Britt, M.D. Community Service Award. Dr. Britt is a world renown and respected surgeon and philanthropist. He is the first African American in the country to have an endowed chair in surgery. Dr. Britt is a native of Suffolk, VA.
